The VivoBook 14 and VivoBook 15 lineup expands with striking new designs

Each new year brings opportunities for change, for a new direction. To usher in a new year of stylish and affordable notebooks, we’re drawing back the curtain on new VivoBook 14 and VivoBook 15 models at CES 2020. Bursting with personality and the latest hardware, these notebooks are ready-made for your connected, creative lifestyle.

Colorful, powerful, and convenient

It’s easy to find a bland and boring notebook that blends in with the crowd, but a notebook that expresses your unique personality is harder to find. The ASUS VivoBook 14 K413 and VivoBook 15 K513 both sport a sleek and detailed metallic lid that’s complemented by one of three striking finishes: Indie Black, Hearty Gold, or Transparent Silver. We wrap the ASUS VivoBook 14 X413 and VivoBook 15 X513, on the other hand, in Cobalt Blue, Dreamy White, or Bespoke Black. For a finishing touch on all these models, we set off the enter key with yellow color blocking underneath the keycap.

Style and power go hand in hand, so we outfitted new VivoBook 14 and 15 notebooks with the latest hardware. At the heart of each model is one of Intel’s 10th Gen CPUs, ranging up to Core i7 chips. For those who like to dabble in light gaming or photo and video editing, we offer models with NVIDIA graphics chips for extra power. A healthy pool of memory is necessary for effective multitasking, so we offer these new VivoBooks with up to 16GB of RAM. To speed up access to commonly-used apps and files, you can select a model with Intel’s unique Optane memory. Finally, optional Wi-Fi 6 networking lets these notebooks take advantage of the latest revolution in cord-free connectivity.

Thanks to a compact, lightweight chassis design, VivoBook 14 and 15 notebooks are easy to use wherever you need to take them. Ultra-slim bezels on three sides of the display allow our engineers to slim down the VivoBook to a surprisingly small footprint. We increased the key travel to 1.4mm to make the backlit keyboard more comfortable to use and included a microphone array that’ll let you interact with voice assistants like Microsoft’s Cortana from up to four meters away. Need to connect the notebook to an external display or a high-speed peripheral? Each has an HDMI and a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port.

Two sizes fit all

If you opt for the 15” VivoBook 15 K513 or VivoBook 15 X513, you’ll not only get a large 15.6” display that’s ideal for multitasking, but a few other key features as well. For one, these models come with a dual storage array. In addition to the fast PCIe SSD, which makes sure your operating system and favorite programs load quickly, you’ll get a hard disk drive with as much as 2TB of capacity for storing media and other files. The chassis is just wide enough for a full-size keyboard and ASUS NumberPad 2.0, and there’s an SD card reader, as well. Even with that range of capabilities, these notebooks are still quite portable. They weigh in at just 1.7kg.

If a 15” notebook is still a bit too big for your bag, the 14” VivoBook 14 K413 and VivoBook 14 X413 might be more to your liking. They’re slimmer, narrower, and lighter than the 15” models, yet offer the same CPU and GPU options. Instead of a built-in ASUS NumberPad 2.0, we offer 14” VivoBook models with the ASUS NumberPad 2.0, a touchpad that can turn into a handy ten-key input with the tap of a button. Storage options include a PCIe SSD as large as 1TB, and you also get a microSD card reader and a high-speed USB Type-C port to connect external storage to the notebook.

Sync your devices anytime, anywhere

VivoBook 14 and VivoBook 15 laptops come equipped with Link to MyASUS, a handy new tool that’s part of the preinstalled MyASUS app. It seamlessly integrates your ASUS PC with compatible mobile devices, boosting your productivity and expanding multitasking possibilities.

The File and URL Transfer function within Link to MyASUS lets users seamlessly transfer documents, media or links between devices. Remote File Access can be a lifesaver if you need to grab a file off your PC while you’re out and about, but only have your phone with you. If you’re a multi-tasker, the Mirroring and Screen Extender functions let you work more fluently or make the most of all of the screen space you have at hand. Finally, if you need to call someone while working on your PC, you can seamlessly make or receive phone calls from the MyASUS app running on your laptop, all without digging out your phone from your bag or pocket.

VivoBook 14 and VivoBook 15 models will launch in the second quarter of 2020 in a variety of configurations. In North America, keep an eye out for the VivoBook X-series as the ASUS VivoBook 14 (F413) and ASUS VivoBook 15 (F513). The VivoBook K-series will arrive in North America as the ASUS VivoBook S14 (S413) and ASUS VivoBook S15 (S513).
