For many organizations, developers, and researchers, the need to conduct AI training locally is a hard requirement. Using their own hardware resources gives them full control over data storage for privacy and security. Yet local, efficient fine-tuning of multimodal large language models (MLLMs) can create its own challenges for those who don’t have highly experienced staff on hand to guide the process along. To stand in this gap, we’re debuting ASUS Multi-LM Tuner. This user-friendly solution leverages the power of ASUS GeForce RTX 50™ Series graphics cards to allow for local fine-tuning of small language models (SLMs) and MLLMs.
An accessible starting point
This innovative, easy-to-use software reduces the barrier to entry for local AI tuning. For starters, it allows developers and researchers to conduct training using desktop computers equipped with readily available ASUS GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards. Getting Multi-LM Tuner up and running is easy, too, thanks to one-step installation and one-click fine-tuning that requires no additional commands or operations. This intuitive interface allows you to get started quickly, even if you don’t have extensive technical expertise in the field.
Easy monitoring, optimization, and validation
Fine-tuning MLLMs is a processing-intensive task that can be held back by the limitations of your hardware configuration. To help you optimize the process for your hardware, Multi-LM Tuner includes a visual dashboard that allows you to monitor hardware and optimize the model training process using real-time insights into training progress and resource usage. Need to work with a larger model that needs more VRAM than your GPU provides? Memory offloading technology works in tandem with the GPU, allowing AI fine-tuning to overcome the limitations of traditional graphics cards and run smoothly even with limited GPU memory.
Additional features include a chatbot for model validation, pre-trained model download and management, and a history of fine-tuning experiments. By supporting local training, Multi-LM Tuner ensures data privacy and security, giving enterprises full control over data storage and processing while reducing the risk of sensitive information leakage.
Within the reach of many organizations and individuals
Software and hardware requirements are relatively light, making ASUS Multi-LM Tuner a feasible option for a wide range of users. The software runs on Windows 11 installations with WSL. A GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics card is required, and we recommend at least 64GB of system memory and a fast PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD with at least 1TB of available storage space.
Local MLLM tuning, now much easier with ASUS Multi-LM Tuner
Multi-LM Tuner joins a wide range of ASUS-developed innovations that make the transformative power of AI available to large audiences. Through a hardware stack that ranges from strikingly powerful mini-PCs to multi-GPU workstations to supercomputers and data centers, we offer a total AI solution that no other manufacturer can match. And through software like Multi-LM Tuner and MuseTree, we’re making AI development straightforward, intuitive, and accessible, too.
Soon, we’ll have more information to share about ASUS Multi-LM Tuner. Stay tuned to this space for the latest updates.
