One of the main draws for building a PC is the ability to upgrade it as you go. This part-by-part upgrade process is a cost-effective way to keep your PC in peak condition. But it can also feel limiting, too. If you’re always tinkering with one part at a time, you’ll never have the opportunity to start fresh with a new design concept — like the ultra-clean style of our hidden-connector BTF ecosystem.
BTF motherboards, PC cases, and graphics cards make it easy to construct a tidy build. With the motherboard headers and connectors tucked away on the underside of the board, the majority of your wires and cables can be completely hidden in the cable management space of your chassis. To allow you to work your way toward a BTF PC without requiring you to assemble a new PC from scratch, we’ve been working to not only give you more BTF hardware options, but also options that retain compatibility with standard PC hardware.
The latest BTF graphics cards are equally at home in BTF and standard builds
For builders working to tidy up the cables in their PC, the cable that provides power for their graphics card can cause headaches. This wire hangs off the side of the card, usually front-and-center for anyone looking through the side panel at the completed build. To address this problem, we designed BTF 2.0 motherboards with a 12V-2X6 connector hidden on the underside of the board, and BTF 2.0 graphics cards capable of drawing their power through the motherboard via a graphics card high-power gold finger.
Due to the presence of this gold finger, BTF 2.0 graphics cards were only compatible with BTF 2.0 motherboards. For our BTF 2.5 graphics cards, we’re able to offer you much more flexibility. These cards’ gold fingers are located on a cutout on the PCB. When you install the card in a BTF motherboard, you pop on the detachable GC-HPWR adapter so that the card can draw power through the motherboard. This adapter supports up to 1000W of power transfer, giving it ample headroom even when it’s supplying the most powerful graphics cards available today. For compatibility with standard motherboards, this adapter is removable. Simply detach the adapter and it won’t interfere with the board.
Today, we’re ready to lift the curtain on two new graphics cards featuring this new approach. Meet the ROG Astral GeForce RTX™ 5090 32GB GDDR7 BTF Edition and the TUF Gaming GeForce RTX™ 5070 Ti 16GB GDDR7 BTF White Edition.
Pairing the ultra-clean BTF aesthetic with the most powerful gaming GPU available today, the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 32GB GDDR7 BTF Edition leads the pack with its exceptional cooling solution, beefed-up power delivery, and unconquerable style. It cools its powerful GPU and 32GB of GDDR7 with our patented vapor chamber cooling design, a massive heatsink, and four fans. Powerful 80-amp MOSFETs with extra power phase ensure enhanced power delivery, even in demanding workloads, opening up increased headroom for overclocking.
The TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB GDDR7 BTF White Edition brings the new BTF approach to the mainstream. Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, it delivers revolutionary gaming experiences with DLSS 4. Military-grade components deliver rock-solid power and longer lifespan for ultimate durability, while protective PCB coating helps protect against short circuits caused by moisture, dust, or debris. Draped in a pristine white finish, it’s the perfect choice for builders who want to pair the tidy style of BTF with the stunning aesthetics of a white build.
