It’s not every day that we run across a PC build that’s dressed to impress for a New Year’s Eve gala, but here we are. This PC shimmers with reflective surfaces like a mirror-lined ballroom, glows with rich incandescence, and lights up the night with golden liquid like a tray of freshly filled champagne glasses. Meet the Champagne Gold build, the latest PC from Nordic 3D Design.
If ever a PC embodied the opulence of a party at the home of Jay Gatsby, it’s this one. Check out the rush of coolant flowing through the crystal-clear tubes for the first time:
Even in this modern era of ultra-convenient AIO coolers, there’s still a place for custom liquid cooling loops. Nordic 3D Design assembled a dream team of cooling parts from EKWB for this build, including a pump/reservoir combo and an EK-Quantum Vector GPU water block that fits the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 Ti like a glove.
For sheer opulence, it’s hard to beat the Trident Z Royal memory kits from G.Skill. Adorned with a crystalline light bar that scatters LED lighting like a jewel-encrusted crown and gold-colored aluminum heatspreaders polished to perfection, this high-class memory kit is a luxurious standout. Props to Nordic 3D Design for the color-matched CableMod sleeved cables, too.
There is indeed a motherboard hiding behind all that cooling hardware. This build rocks a still-potent ROG Maximus XIII Hero, a Z590 board that blazed onto the scene back in 2021 with PCIe 4.0 support, onboard WiFi 6E, and four M.2 slots. Perhaps we’ll tempt Nordic 3D Design with a next-gen upgrade for their next build project, but we don’t doubt for a moment that this setup still runs Call of Duty like a champ in 2025.
The unmistakable glow of the ROG Thor 1200P power supply’s integrated OLED Panel peeks out from underneath the distro plate. Offering a real-time display of power draw, this PSU allows you to see at a glance how much juice your rig is using.
There’s a lot to admire about this build, but Nordic 3D Design is especially proud of the gold detailing and the custom distro plate. Perhaps we’re biased, but we love the statement made by the ROG “Fearless Eye” logo on the plate.
