New ASUS ZenScreen options for CES 2026 boost power while expanding horizons

Mobile monitors that match the size of a typical laptop are more popular than ever. These slim and trim displays slip into your travel bag without adding noticeable weight, so they’re easy to carry wherever the workday takes you. For CES 2026, we’re debuting four new ZenScreen models. The ASUS ZenScreen MQ16FC, ZenScreen MB16FC, and ZenScreen MB16NCG feature power pass-through technology that makes cable management easier while keeping all your devices powered-up. And the versatile dual-screen ZenScreen MB14FCD provides up to 20 inches of additional screen space while giving your mobile multi-monitor setup a range of options to meet any occasion.

The ASUS ZenScreen MQ16FC broadens your horizons by boosting both power and productivity

As portable monitors become more common outside of the traditional office, the newest models include features to make these monitors more powerful and productive. The new ASUS ZenScreen MQ16FC is the perfect choice for people who want to expand their workflow with the increased efficiency and productivity afforded by a multi-monitor setup on the move.

Workers who step away from the office frequently encounter challenges with keeping every device charged and connected. When we’re away from our desks, we rely on a collection of devices to entertain us during travel while keeping in touch with coworkers and family. Since all these devices run on batteries, low power or dead cells are a constant nuisance. The ZenScreen MQ16FC puts more power into the palm of your hand to keep your devices topped off, thanks to power-passthrough technology.

Power passthrough lets you recharge a smartphone, tablet, game console, camera, cordless headphones, or any USB-C (full-function) connecting device while using this display. Whenever you land near a wall socket, just plug in its 30W adapter, then connect your other tech to one of the USB-C ports on the monitor. To enjoy the maximum 65W power passthrough along with any video or data signals, you can use a beefier power adapter — perhaps the one for your laptop — that’s capable of delivering 80W. At full tilt, the power passthrough offers enough wattage to fully power many of today’s most popular thin-and-light laptops.

To use a portable monitor away from an outlet, it needs to be connected to a device that can provide power, like a laptop with a full-function USB Type-C port. To make sure that the ZenScreen MQ16FC plays well with your laptop’s battery, we’re debuting new power management features through ASUS DisplayWidget Center. The apps’ Balanced Laptop Battery feature adjusts the MQ16FC’s input wattage based on the laptop’s current battery level to prevent rapid laptop drain. For further energy savings, you can have the MQ16FC’s display automatically dim whenever the system detects no active windows or mouse movement on the portable display. Upon activity, the brightness is restored right away.

The 16-inch OLED screen of the ZenScreen MQ16FC also features a 16:10 aspect ratio with a resolution of 1920×1200, giving you some additional vertical screen real estate. The extra space at the top of the screen provides a significant boost to productivity without impacting your media or gaming. When you’re working with your preferred professional software, the added space makes ample room for timelines and toolbars that otherwise eat into your workspace and limit your vision of your primary content. This also means that these displays are a perfect match for one of the many laptops on the market with a similar 16:10 display.

When the time comes to read vertical content like webpages and long PDFs, save yourself the hassle of constantly scrolling. Just enable auto rotation through the ASUS DisplayWidget Center, then turn the MQ16FC on its side to put the screen quickly into portrait mode. The reading experience will also feel more natural on a screen whose size is close to traditional paper.

The attached kickstand flips out for instant, stable placement in either portrait or landscape orientation. Rich connectivity options make setup easy, with two fully functional USB-C ports and a mini-HDMI port. And each display includes an L-shaped USB-C cable to keep the cable out of the way, streamlining cable management.

When it’s time to unwind after work with some games or streaming videos, the ZenScreen MQ16FC draws you into the entertainment with lifelike visuals. Its OLED panel delivers high-contrast visuals. For vibrant, immersive colors, it covers 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, along with a ∆E color accuracy of less than 2.

More comfortable reading comes courtesy of the ASUS ZenScreen MB16FC and ZenScreen MB16NCG

If you spend long hours reading or coding on your laptop and portable monitor, consider opting for the ASUS ZenScreen MB16NCG or ZenScreen MB16FC This 16-inch portable monitors features a 16:10 IPS display, boosting your screen real estate and productivity. The ZenScreen MB16FC offers a 1920×1200 resolution, whereas the ZenScreen MB16NCG offers a 2560×1600 resolution. The higher resolution gives you increased workspace while keeping text sharp and readable. The combination of increased aspect ratio and higher resolution turbocharges productivity with easier, more comfortable multitasking.

Multitasking on a multi-monitor setup lets you maintain focus for longer periods of time, without losing track of application windows that get buried beneath other windows. If a message comes through your company’s SMS, for instance, you can glance up to the corner of the screen and toss off a quick reply. That’s an easier proposition than hunting for the message window, typing your response, then trying to recall which window you were working on before you were interrupted.

As the hours at your screens pile up, you need tech that takes good care of your eyes. The ZenScreen MB16FC and MB16NCG include features to ease eyestrain. The MB16NCG’s higher 155Hz refresh rate (OC) gives smoother visuals during games, videos, and moments when you drag windows across the screen. The high refresh also requires less work from your eyes over periods of extended viewing. And with both models, your eyes will enjoy exceptional clarity with sharp color contrast and excellent color performance.

The ZenScreen MB16FC and MB16NCG also keep your workspace organized with power passthrough. People who put in time at their PCs know how empty cups and plates seem to appear out of nowhere during a marathon coding session or while racing to meet a deadline. Just plug the monitor into your wall socket and use a single cable to send power, data signals, and video down the line to your laptop. If one of your devices needs a charge, simply add it to the line by plugging into an available USB-C port. These displays provide two USB-C ports for the purpose, plus a mini-HDMI port to keep your display connectivity options open. A kickstand quickly deploys to stabilize the monitor in portrait and landscape modes, making setup a snap. As with the MQ16FC, you’ll be able to use the ASUS DisplayWidget Center app to enable battery-saving power management features.

Get triple the multi-monitor setup with the ASUS ZenScreen Duo MB14FCD

Experienced users of multi-monitor setups place a premium on the new options made possible by the additional screen space. These people depend upon the constant availability of a little more screen space where they can quickly stash one window while refocusing on another. If you have acquired the habit of working with double the screen space afforded by a laptop, it may be time to add a third screen by upgrading to the ASUS ZenScreen Duo MB14FCD.

The ZenScreen Duo MB14FCD features a pair of high-quality 14-inch IPS panels with a 16:10 aspect ratio, joined together with fully flexible hinges. This setup gives you the space for practically infinite possibilities. Each panel runs at 1920×1200 resolution with a level of detail that keeps text and images clear and readable for everything you do with your PC. With ASUS DisplayWidget Center, a handy Windows app that gives you convenient access to monitor OSD functions, you’ll also be able to save on battery life with AI Power Saving mode.

The hinges joining these screens can be folded a full 360 degrees. With the attached quick-deploying kickstand, you can position the screens on top of each other, side-by-side, or even facing in opposite directions. The versatility leads to a range of options that is sure to prove convenient in any scenario.

Try turbocharging your multitasking when you use each screen independently. The total of three screens will let you run numerous side-by-side windows at once, so you never lose sight of your applications or work assets. Just put the ZenScreen Duo into Extend mode to get started. Later, when it’s time to do a lot of reading on websites or work on a coding project, put the ZenScreen Duo into Split mode. The combined screens become one continuous waterfall-style display, giving you a 20-inch tall by 14-inch wide screen. The generous proportions of this portable display minimize scrolling while giving you room to breathe.

If you want to share a project with someone else but keep your own second monitor, fold the ZenScreen Duo in half and put the device into Mirror mode. Clients, partners, and friends can watch the action on their own screen while you work between your laptop and second monitor.

In some cases, you may be using an additional device like a tablet or second laptop, and that device could use a secondary screen of its own. Simply put the ZenScreen Duo into Independent mode, and you can attach your second device to one of the MB14FCD’s displays while keeping your primary device attached to the other panel on the MB14FCD. Now both your devices can enjoy the benefits of an additional 14-inch 16:10 IPS panel. And thanks to the power pass-through feature included with the ZenScreen Duo MB14FCD, you could even recharge that second device while you work.

These three new ZenScreen displays make it easy to augment everything you do with your laptop or PC with a generous 16:10 aspect ratio. They’ll also keep all your batteries fully charged with power passthrough.
