Visitors to our Computex 2025 booth were treated to an unexpected surprise: an all-new graphics card that brings together the flagship power of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 Series and Noctua’s legendary cooling expertise. Meet the ASUS GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 Noctua Edition. We’re not yet ready to share all the details of this upcoming graphics card, but we’re happy to give you a sneak peek.
With this graphics card, we have one primary goal: we want to give you the quietest air-cooled graphics card in its class. To do that, we’re kicking up our game by integrating three Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 120mm fans. The ASUS GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua Edition is actually the first graphics card collaboration we’ve conducted with Noctua to include three of their fans, as previous designs have made do with two. The third fan is doing considerable work to ensure fantastic airflow through the card’s thick heatsink.
The Noctua fans are just one part of this card’s premium cooling solution. We’ve designed an optimized vapor chamber for this card that efficiently wicks heat from the GPU and VRAM chips into the large heatsink and its thick array of fins. A phase-change helps ensure optimal heat transfer, it offers proven reliability for long-term performance, too. 0dB technology allows the fans to stop spinning entirely as long as temperatures permit, and a physical Dual BIOS switch allows you to select between Quiet and Performance modes.
Noctua aficionados don’t just love the brand’s proven chops when it comes to air cooling. They also love the brand’s commitment to an aesthetic that takes a left turn away from ordinary. The ASUS GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua Edition is finished in a tri-tone brown finish that perfectly complements the other Noctua fans that you might have in your rig. We even integrated the company’s distinctive logo into the backplate.
