Some PC builders rightfully take pride in their ability to carefully shape and position the internal cables of their PC into elegant, parallel curves, and they’re quick to take advantage of the opportunity to show off their work in a chassis that provides a panoramic view. But for many of us, cable management is a chore that we could do without. To help you to build an ultra-clean PC without the extra hassle, we offer BTF motherboards that keep the cables and wires out of sight by orienting the headers and ports on the rear of the board rather than the front. Today, we’re announcing a new generation of BTF PCs with motherboards prepped for the latest CPUs from Intel and AMD. Additionally, we’re debuting a new AIO liquid CPU cooler that’s a perfect match for the ultra-clean BTF aesthetic.
The ROG Maximus Z890 Hero BTF dazzles with top-shelf performance and style
Loaded with premium features and built for unbridled performance, the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero BTF gives Intel aficionados a top-shelf platform for building a BTF PC around the next-gen power of an Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor.
With its headers and connectors tucked out of sight on the back side of the motherboard, the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero BTF makes a stunning first impression. Understated shrouds extend to the edges of the board, giving more visual space to the primary components you’ve installed. A dual-textured reflective ROG eye logo sits atop of the PCH, but the star of the show — as far as aesthetics are concerned — is the Polymo Lighting II effect on the I/O shield that illuminates your build with a multidimensional light show that’s customizable with ASUS Aura Sync.
This ATX motherboard caters to overclocking enthusiasts with a beefy power solution that includes a whopping 22 SPS power stages dedicated to Vcore, all rated for 110A. Massive heatsinks integrated with the I/O cover, joined by a U-shaped heatpipe, and connected to the power stages with high-conductivity thermal pads keep the VRMs cool under pressure.
The ROG Maximus Z890 Hero BTF offers unquestioned memory tuning credentials, too. Its four DIMM slots are equipped with NitroPath DRAM technology for next-level performance and stability — it’s been validated with DIMMs up to an astounding 9200 MT/s. You’ll have access to our full kit of memory-tuning features, including AEMP III, DIMM Flex, and DIMM Fit.
For access to the fastest graphics cards of today and tomorrow, the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero BTF features a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot. The Hero BTF has a 12V auxiliary power connector that routes power through the center of the board so that with a compatible BTF graphics card, you won’t have a GPU power cable muddying up your view of your PC’s internal hardware.
The ROG Maximus Z890 Hero BTF’s run of high-end features continues into its connectivity selection. Onboard WiFi 7 support is complemented with a dual-Ethernet solution headlined by a 5Gb port. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports provide endless versatility. The motherboard offers premium front-panel connectivity options, including support for a USB 20Gbps Type-C port. Is your gaming library larger than most? The Hero BTF’s six M.2 slots, three of which are wired for PCIe 5.0, have you covered.

Wield the power of AMD Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs with the ultra-clean TUF Gaming B850-BTF WiFi
It’s the third lap around the track for AMD Ryzen X3D CPUs, and each generation of these chips has done nothing but cement the series’ reputation for PC gaming dominance. Gamers love to pair these powerhouse CPUs with a value-oriented TUF Gaming B-Series motherboard, so we’re preparing a special TUF Gaming board that pairs the tidy BTF aesthetic with support for the latest AMD Ryzen X3D processors. Introducing the TUF Gaming B850-BTF WiFi.
We’re not ready to share all the details on this motherboard quite yet, but we’re excited to give you a sneak peek. First off, this is a B850 motherboard built on AMD’s mainstream chipset. Offering a fully modern platform with more connectivity options, more and faster M.2 slots, faster wireless networking options, and much more, B850 motherboards offer incredible bang-for-the-buck for your gaming build — especially if you’re upgrading from the classic B550/B450 generation.
The TUF Gaming B850-BTF WiFi ups the ante with a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for your next-gen graphics card, as well as a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot ready for a premium-grade storage drive. WiFi 7 support lets you take advantage of the latest standard with a compatible router. Like the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero BTF, the TUF Gaming B850-BTF WiFi allows for an Advanced BTF build through its inclusion of a graphics card high-power slot.
The perfect AIO cooler for your BTF build: the ROG Ryuo IV SLC 360 ARGB
Once you start to tidy up one part of your build with the BTF design, you might find it hard to stop. After tucking away all the wires for your front I/O, SATA drives, and chassis fans, you’ll be more tempted than ever by a BTF graphics card that hides your GPU’s power delivery, too. And what about your CPU cooling?
Already, we’ve seen master PC builders experiment with clever ways to cool a CPU without compromising the ultra-clean BTF aesthetic. As much as we love these solutions, we also want to provide mainstream builders an alternative that combines the out-of-the-box convenience and performance of an AIO liquid CPU cooler with tidy, clutter-free style. The result of our efforts is the all-new ROG Ryuo IV SLC 360 ARGB.
By re-orienting the design of the pump housing, we were able to shorten the length of the sleeved rubber tubing for this AIO cooler all the way down to 200mm while maintaining broad chassis compatibility. This approach reduces how much of your chassis the tubing has to stretch across.
We’re also taking advantage of the occasion to upgrade the ROG Ryuo IV SLC 360 ARGB with personalization elements that are so mesmerizing that you’ll hardly even notice the tubing. The pump housing now features a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display that supports head-turning naked-eye 3D media — or customized hardware monitoring information, if you’d prefer a dose of practicality instead. The display module snaps into place with magnets and attaches to the pump housing in two different orientations so that your view is always on the level.
The radiator fans get in on the fun, too, with a new cyberpunk lighting design that extends to the sides of the fans in addition to the front. To streamline installation and minimize cabling, the fans are daisy-chainable. They snap together with a magnetic connector that links the fans and transmits control signals and power.
